Spa Policies and Guidelines
Your Arrival
Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow
time to check-in, relax, and prepare for your session. A late arrival will result in a shorter
service time and you will be responsible for the full service price.
Your Personal Comfort
Many clients ask what type of clothing should be worn to their appointment and the answer is: dress to your comfort level. Whether you are coming to your appointment from work, home, or play, we ask that you dress how you feel most comfortable. For reflexology appointments, we ask that clients wear short sleeved shirts or sleeves that can be comfortably rolled up to the elbow and shorts or pants that can be comfortably rolled up to the knee.
Staff Requests
All requests should be made at the time of scheduling your appointment. Feel free to request a male or female therapist, or you may even chose to request a therapist you have previously scheduled with.
Gratuities
Our service prices do not include gratuities. Gratuities may be left at your discretion and can be made at checkout. Gratuity may be included in gift certificates upon your discretion. A minimum of 20% gratuity (per person) will be charged to parties of 4 or more at the time of scheduling along with the charge of the price of the service(s) scheduled.
Cancellation Policy
We require 24 hours' notice of cancellation for single services, and 48 hours' notice for multiple services, multiple guests, or packages. All appointments are reserved by credit card. A cancellation fee of $39 is charged per person scheduled and cancelled without 24 hours' or 48 hours' notice. We confirm appointments one to two days in advance by telephone, email, or text message.
Gift Certificates
To redeem a Gift Certificate at any of our locations, the Gift Certificate Code must be provided to the front desk upon scheduling along with a credit card reservation along with a Credit Card reservation. The Gift Certificate must be presented upon arrival to your scheduled appointment. Gift Certificates do not expire, are available for use at all locations, and are non-refundable. Gift Certificates can be purchase at the reception desk or over the phone. If you are scheduling an appointment for someone else with a Third Party Voucher, and your card is used to hold the reservation, your card will also be used for the cancellation fee should that individual cancel, reschedule, or no call no show to their scheduled appointment.
Third Party Vouchers/Gift Cards
Third Party Vouchers/Third Party Gift Cards have limited availability on weekends at any location. Appointment's are required in order to redeem a voucher and a credit card will be required to hold your reservation. Only available for use by first time clients. All goods or services must be used by the same person within one visit. Couples room rate not included in Third Party prices, but may be available for an additional fee depending on the service option purchased. Third Party Vouchers/Gift Cards must be presented upon arrival to your scheduled appointment. When giving a Third Party Voucher as a gift, you MUST provide the gifted individual with a voucher as they will need that voucher to schedule their appointment and to present at their appointment. If you are scheduling an appointment for someone else with a Third Party Voucher, and your card is used to hold the reservation, your card will also be used for the cancellation fee should that individual cancel, reschedule, or no call no show to their scheduled appointment.
Children and Guests
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian,and are only to enter the business for their own scheduled appointments. Children and guests may not be left unattended,nor are they allowed in service rooms without an appointment.
Cell Phones and Other Mobile Devices
To respect the wishes of all of our guests, we request that all cell phones and pagers are on vibrate or silent during your visit. Cell phone use is not permitted in the spa.
Outside Food and Drinks
Outside food and drinks are prohibited. All outside food and drink items must not be brought into the business. During our special events, the food and drinks offered by the business are only available to those who are scheduled to receive services.
Contraindications
Please inform us of any illness, pregnancy, injury, or any contraindications in your health conditions prior to scheduling your appointment(s) to ensure services and/or treatments do not interfere with medical issues. When you arrive at the spa, you will be asked to fill out a health questionnaire. This will allow us to customize your treatment and make sure all methods used support your health and never cause harm. Treatments with heat are not advisable for pregnant women or guests with heart conditions or high blood pressure. Body treatments are not advisable for pregnant women or guests who have difficulty lying flat or turning over on the treatment table.
Feedback
We value feedback from clients during the treatments, in order to ensure the client’s comfort and satisfaction. Clients must let the Therapists know if there is something you are not happy with during your treatment. Our Therapists will not get offended and will appreciate your feedback.
Pricing
Massage 49 & Spa Inc. and The Barefoot Lounge reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or raise prices on certain treatments without prior notification to ensure that maximum standards of service and quality are met. Specials, Email Blasts, and Promotional pricing are valid only for the amount of time listed in the detail, or 30 days from the promotion's start date.

Our Front Desk Staff and Management Staff are here to ensure that your service is relaxing and pleasant. If a member of our team ever feels that a client is behaving inappropriately, they are authorized to refuse service to the client. You will be responsible for the full price of the scheduled service and the behavior will be immediately reported to authorities.
Our trained therapists are here solely to help improve your wellness and relaxation. If a therapist ever feels that a client is behaving inappropriately, they are authorized to stop the treatment immediately and direct you to the front desk. You will be responsible for the full price of the scheduled service and the behavior will be immediately reported to authorities.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any one for any reason.
